Obituary
Mrs Samuel T Cheshire died at her home in Crescent Place, Huntington, at three o'clock on Wednesday afternoon after an illness of three days of pneumonia, following influenza.

Mrs Cheshire is best known in Sayville and Bayport as the former Miss Maude LeCluse, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles LeCluse, now of Blue Point. She was a delightful young girl and although her home was in Bayport she made many friends in Sayville while attending high school there, graduating in the class of 1907. After finishing at the local school, she attended Oneonta Normal School, later teaching in Bridgehampton and in Nassau County before going to Huntington to become a member of the faculty there. In that village she meet Mr Cheshire, a prominent young Huntingtonian, and was married on February 9th, three years ago. She was in New York with her husband on her wedding anniversary, celebrating the event, and two days later, last week Tuesday, was taken ill with influenza. So swiftly did the end come that few of her old friends here knew of the illness and word of her death received here yesterday morning brought great sorrow to many people.

Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, one brother, Howard LeCluse, of Blue Point, two sisters, Mrs Sheppard Saxton, of Terrytown, and Mrs Carleton Gerard of Woodhaven. Her parents brother and sisters were all present when she died.

Funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian Church in Huntington at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, the Rev Dr Johnstone officiating, and the interment will be at Cold Spring.
