Married: Charles Ellsworth Van Sise about 1918 in Unknown.

Charles Ellsworth Van Sise joined the US Army Medical Service in 1917 and saw service in Europe during the First World War. He was discharged on April 15, 1919. After receiving wounds in Europe he returned to America and was treated by a nurse, Esther Barton Johnson. The two fell in love and were married. This couple had three children-the first two twin boys born in 1919 (one of them my Grandfather) and the third a daughter born in 1923. In 1926 Ellsworth Van Sise abandoned his children and wife-never to return to them again. In 1936 he-remarried-this time to Mabel T. Beers, and adopted a daughter from Ms. Beers' first marriage.
