Mrs. Annie Van Sise, one of the best known women of Plainview and Huntington, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Hill, Plainview, Tuesday evening, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Van Sise was in her 80th year, and had resided in Plainview nearly all her life. Her husband died about 25 years ago. The past four years she has lived at Huntington, spending the summer with her children at Plainview. She leaves five children, Mrs. J.I. Corsa, Mrs. William Hill, William Van Sise, John Van Sise and James Van Sise. John and William reside at Huntington, while the others are residents of Plainview. She also leaves 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the residence of her daughter this Friday afternoon. Interment was at Bethpage Cemetery. Mrs. Van Sise was a Christian woman of a lovable disposition and had many friends who will be sorry to hear of her death.
