Following a stroke Mrs. Addie M. Van Sise, widow of C. Franklin Van Sise, passed away Tuesday at her home on Woolsey Avenue. She would have been 76 years old had she lived until December 27th. Mrs. Van Sise was the daughter of John R. Beatty and Mattie E. Smith and was born in Huntington December 27th, 1861, and had always made her home here. She married C. Franklin Van Sise in early life. He died several years ago. Mrs. Van Sise left two daughters, Ina, which whom she resided, and Ethel, the wife of Daniel N. Raynor, of Port Jervis, NY. She also leaves one brother, Abner S. Beatty, of Brooklyn. A lifelong and loyal member of the Huntington Methodist Episcopal Church, the pastor, Dr. Ernest A. Wall conducted the funeral services at the home Thursday at 2 p.m. The interment was in the Huntington Rural Cemetery.
