Audrey Lucille Watters

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m, Thursday morning, Aug. 28, 2003 August 28, 2003 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma of the Good News Chapel officiating. Interment: White Oak Cemetery in White Oak Township in Mahaska County.
Audrey passed away at her home in Oskaloosa on Monday morning, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 20 days.
Audrey Lucille Watters, daughter of Roy Burton & Ethel Lucille Gott Spratt was born July 5, 1927 in New Sharon, IA. She was raised in the Oskaloosa/Beacon area and attended Beacon School. On September 23, 1950 she married Bernard Roe Watters in Oskaloosa., and they later divorced in 1991. She worked at Oskaloosa Produce prior to moving to Clarinda in 1965, there she worked in a nursing home. She returned to Oskaloosa in 1985. Audrey loved her family, and spending time with her grandchildren, she helped raise to adulthood several nieces and nephews who live throughout the U.S. Audrey enjoyed collecting ceramics, particularly chickens.
Audrey’s memory is honored by her son & daughter-in-law, William & Karen Watters of Oskaloosa and the nieces and nephews she helped raise. She was blessed with four grandchildren: William Jr. & Eva Watters in Yakima, WA and Jennifer and Paige Watters of Oskaloosa, IA. A brother & sister-in-law, Sam & Peggy Spratt of Oskaloosa, survive her.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Willis & Thomas Spratt and two sisters, Mary McDonald and Katherine Spratt.
