Max Randall Ward 1922 ~ 2008 Max Randall Ward, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Kaysville on November 22, 2008. Born June 1, 1922 in Iona, Idaho to Lorenzo J. and Amelia Randall Ward. He grew up on farms in Iona and Coltman, Idaho.

In 1947 he served a mission for the LDS Church in Texas, Louisiana. It was there he met his future wife Aldoria Carter. Following their missions they were married March 2, 1949 in the Idaho Falls, Temple. In 1958 with six young children and the sugar beets frozen in the ground he moved his family to Utah. He graduated from BYU and taught elementary school in Davis County for 25 years. After retiring he and his wife served two additional missions, first in Tarawa, an island in the South Pacific and then in Hawaii. He also served in the Ogden and Bountiful Temples. He was an active member of the LDS Church all his life.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 60 years, his six children Edith (Ben) Reeves, Janet (David) Pickering, Kent (Susan) Ward, Elaine (Neal) Slade, Calvin (Pauline) Ward, Lynn (Natalie) Ward, 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother Wayne Randall Ward of Mesa, Arizona, and his sister Bonnie Rae Anderson of Las Vegas, NV. Preceded in death by two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Kaysville 13th Ward Chapel, 875 East 200 North in Kaysville. Friends and family may call Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Chapel, 1867 North Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
