T. RHEA KIER, 75, of Avonmore R.D. 1, passed away Friday, May 14, 1965 at Indiana Hospital following a lingering illness. A son of James W. and Clara Irwin Kier, he was born in Armstrong County near Avonmore on March 7, 1890. Mr. Kier was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avonmore. He is survived by his widow, Ruth White Kier; two daughters and one son; Mrs. Marcus (Jean) Lasher, Mrs. Charles (Blanche) Gabrielson and Thomas R. Jr., all of Saltsburg; six grandchildren and one brother James Irwin, of Canton, Ohio. Friends will be received at the Yockey and Yockey Funeral Home, Avonmore, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. Rev. Robert Jansen will officiate assisted by Rev. Ralph Kier, a nephew of the deceased. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
