Ronnie S. Rorebeck, age 69, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away October 19, 2010, at the Kingman, Arizona Regional Medical Center. Ronnie was born April 16, 1941, in Phoenix, Ariz., to the late Howard Rorebeck and Ruby (Kier) Rorebeck Mace. He married Neva Rasmussen on December 3, 1964, in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with a son, Shawn Rorebeck. Ronnie began his trucking career in 1962 and currently owned and operated Rorebeck Trucking in Council Bluffs. He was of the Lutheran faith. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Howard Rorebeck; mother, Ruby Mace; and sister, Linda Baylis. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Neva Rorebeck; son, Shawn Rorebeck, both of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Colton and Camrey Rorebeck; brother, Gary (Sylvia) Rorebeck; sister, Sue (Delbert) Epperson, all of Council Bluffs; step-father, Glen Mace, of Omaha, Neb.; brother-in-law, Brad Baylis, of Exira, Iowa; special niece, Paige Flores, of Council Bluffs; many nieces and nephews. Family receiving friends, Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Monday, 11 a.m., at the mortuary. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
