Mildred Lee Hoyt Leffel of Kirkland died Feb. 23, 2004, at age 83. Born July 31, 1920, in McFall, Mo., she lived 48 years on the Eastside.
Mrs. Leffel graduated from high school in McFall in 1938, and later married Charles Leffel in McFall in 1946.
She was a member of the Community of Christ church in Bothell. An avid gardener and reader, she is remembered by her family as an excellent wife and devoted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Leffel is survived by her daughters, Mary Hajicek of Chehalis, Nancy Carlson of Tyler, Texas, Elsie McEnroe of Woodinville and Edna Daugherty of Wylie, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Community of Christ church at 20012 Filbert Drive in Bothell, with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the church's building fund, or to Pope's Kids Place, 230 Washington Way, Centralia, WA 98531.
