Louis A. Hufford, 79, Kansas City, Kan., died June 18, 1989, in the Glennon Place, 128 N. Hardesty Ave. He was born in Humboldt, Kan., and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Hufford, who was a truck driver for United Van lines, retired in 1972. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of the Disabled Americans Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Fern Hufford of the home; a son, Leon Daugherty, Kansas City, Kan.; five daughters, Susie Lemmon, Merriam, Darlene Wyatt, Kimberling City, Mo., Bonnie Ferguson, Tonganoxie, Kan., Patricia Deller, Denver, and Doris Griffin, Branson, Mo.; a brother, Raymond Hufford, Kansas CIty, Kan.; 30 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
