Joyce Ann Royer, 71, Council Bluffs, died Nov. 29 at the Select Specialties Hospital, Omaha.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Logan Memorial Chapel.

Joyce A. Royer, 71, Council Bluffs, died Nov. 29, 2009 at the Select Specialties Hospital, Omaha.

Joyce Ann Royer was born Apr. 18, 1938 in Council Bluffs to Joseph and Hazel (Negley) Hubbard. She graduated from Neola High School and was married to John Royer, in June of 1957, in Council Bluffs.

Joyce was employed by Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, in the Medical Records Department for many years.

She loved watching her children in MotoCross, reading, traveling, going to Minnesota with friends, shopping, flea markets and sewing.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sons, Jay A. Royer and his wife, Sandy, Logan; Jason L. Royer, Council Bluffs; grandchildren, CheyAnne and Cole Royer, both of Logan; sisters, Phyllis Wohlers and Ron Guill, Missouri Valley; Linda Barks and her husband, Elton, of Georgia; brothers, Lynn Hubbard and his wife, Marti, of Arizona; and Glen Hubbard, Carroll.

A Memorial service was held Dec. 3 at the Logan Memorial Chapel, Pastor Nate Powell, officiant.
