ROWLEY, Howard J. age 90 of Lebanon passed peacefully Monday, March 21, 2011 at Lebanon Country Manor. Born April 3, 1920 in Portsmouth, Ohio, Howard was the son of Jess Pearl and Alta (Ratchford) Rowley and a retired Pennsylvania Railroad engineer. Howard was a proud World War II Veteran, a member of the Urbancrest Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge of Portsmouth, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents, former wife Thelma Rowley, step-son Doug Johnson, brother Walter and sister Dorothy; Howard leaves behind his loving wife Lillian (Brandenburg) Rowley of Lebanon; step-son Randy Johnson of Lebanon; step daughter-in-law Rhonda Johnson of Lebanon; grandchild Amberly (Mike) Kirby and great grandchildren Cody and Gavin Kirby; nieces Pam Raddick and Carolyn Davis and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 6:00pm with Reverend Tom Pendergrass officiating. Burial will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 in the Sardinia Cemetery.
