Obituary:
McLouth Times; Fri., September 22, 1904
Harry S. Patty was born in this county Sept. 6, 1876, and died Sept. 15, 1904 at his home in Lawrence, Kansas.

About nine years ago Harry made his home in McLouth and learned telegraphy under R.B. Gould at the Southwestern depot. Afterward he had Dunavant, Wallula and McLouth stations as agent on the Northwestern. Later he went to Lawrence and worked on the Union Pacific between that place and Leavenworth in the capacity both as brakeman and conductor. At Lawrence he married Miss May Keer, who with a bright little daughter two years of age, are left to mourn his loss. He was operated on for appendicitis the first of March and the incision never healed; consumption followed and he went to Colorado in July, but became so weak that he went home just three weeks before he died. He seemed better than usual on Thursday and just afternoon had a hemorrhage and passed away without a word to anyone. Funeral services were held at the home last Saturday morning, the Masonic order conducting the services, with preaching by the Christian pastor of which church the deceased was a member.

Harry had many good friends in this vicinity who were shocked at the news of his death, who extend their sympathy to the bereaved ones.
