Second of eight children born to Joel Johnson and Ella FLorina Kier Johnson. Edna moved with her family from Yates Center, KS to Payne County, Oklahoma around 1900. Her parents moved the family to Okemah, OK around 1904 to open a furniture store and hotel. Edna married Artie Hennesey, the younger brother of her brother in law. They had 2 children Florence 1907 and Leslie 1909. Her husband died young and left Edna in a bad situation with 2 small children. Edna's father died suddenly in 1910 from a copperhead snake bite. Sometime after 1910, she remarried to a man named Mr Cory. Her year of death was estimated.
