Cloyde Foster lived in Saint Louis, Missouri, beginning in 1904. About 1911, he went to Panama to help build the canal, but malaria convinced him to return home. About 1917 he moved to Weiner, Arkansas for a year or so, then returned to Saint Louis. 1930 found him back in his home town of Mount Vernon, where he lived until he moved to San Diego, California, in 1943, to help work in the war plants.
