John A. Nalepa Mr. John A. Nalepa, 87, of Zephyrhills, Fla., a former resident of Johnstown, died Tuesday (February 8, 2000) at Westbrook Manor, Zephyrhills. He was born in Jamaica, Queens County. Mr. Nalepa previously lived in Johnstown and had resided in Florida 20 years. He was a retired water treatment operator and was employed for 15 years at the Canajoharie Water Department. Mr. Nalepa was a charter member of the Ephratah Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Nalepa; two daughters, Barbara Whinnery of Northville and Joanne Reynolds of Schenectady; one son, Robert Woyton of Rogers, Ark. two brothers, Stanley Nalepa of Centereach, Suffolk County, and William Nalepa of Hicksville, Nassau County; two sisters, Mary Cassidy of Belleview, Fla. and Sophie Harrigan of Texas; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
