Mrs. Ina Van Sise Willets, 88 Fairmont St., Huntington, former church organist and choir member, passed away in Middletown Hospital, Middletown, N.Y., January 11, she was 79 years old. A lifelong resident here, she was born Sept. 14, 1888 to Mr. & Mrs. Charles Franklin Van Sise, and was the widow of Eugene Platt Willets. Mrs. Willets was a member of the Huntington Methodist Church, active in its women's group. She was also a member of Ketewamoke Chapter, DAR, and was identified with several musical groups and choirs over the years. When her sister retired, she succeeded her as organist of the Methodist Church. She held the position more than 39 years, later serving as substitute organist at St. John's Episcopal Church and Trinity Episcopal Church in Northport. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. D. Nelson Raynor of Port Jervis, N.Y., a neice, Mrs. Ross Weaver of Milford, P.A., a nephew, Gerald V.S. Raynor of Huntington; also a grand-niece and nephew as well as cousins. Services were conducted by the Rev. William P. Ardel of the Huntington Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at the Huff Harris Funeral Home. Interment was in the Huntington Rural Cemetery.
