Wife of Former Pastor Dies
Word was received in Auburn today of the death of Mrs. Abby Adams Roe, wife of William E Roe, who was formerly pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church in this city. Mrs. Roe died at Jamestown, North Dakota on June 29. Mrs Roe is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anna Piutto of Seattle, Washington, who for many years was dean of Wells College, Aurora, Mrs Augusta Conover of Mobile, Alabama, one daughter, Carrie Roe and by her husband. Funeral services were held yesterday at Jamestown with burial in Marietta Rev. Mr. Roe and Mrs. Roe had many friends in Auburn. Mr. Roe was pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church for many years. He left Auburn in 1915.
