Married: Thomas Marion Kier September 11, 1877 in Currlsville, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.

Obituary:
KIER, MINERVA CANDACE (MOONEY) -- Mrs. Minerva C. Kier, widow of the late Thomas M. Kier, passed away at her home in Granville, Ohio, on Sunday, December 30, 1928, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Kier was a daughter of John and Sabina Mooney, early residents of this county, and was born and raised at or near Curllsville. For some years after her marriage with Mr. Kier they lived at Callensburg, but for many years have resided at various places in the states of Ohio and Indiana, her husband having been engaged in the oil and gas business and having followed the developments in those states. She leaves to survive her one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Pipello of Houston, Texas; one son, Harold Kier of Granville, Ohio, and the following brothers and sisters, viz: Mrs. Rose E. Callen of Sligo, Pa.; Mrs. Frances A. Myers of Clarion, Pa.; Alfred L. Mooney of Warren, Pa.; B. C. Mooney of Clarion and Edward L. Mooney of Curllsville. Funeral services were held at her late home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment was made in the Granville cemetery. Clarion Democrat, (Pa.), January 3, 1929.
