EDGERTON --- Lois J. DeWitt, 55, of Edgerton, formerly of Ten Sleep, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

She was born April 6, 1937, in Lovell, the daughter of Edward N. "June" and Margaret "Peg" (Helmer) Mills. She was raised and attended school in Ten Sleep.

On Dec. 12, 1953, she married E. Boyd DeWitt in Billings.

Following her marriage, she and her family traveled the western United States following power line construction. In 1971, they moved to Joliet, Mont. and in 1977 to Edgerton.

She worked for the Midway Liquor Store in Edgerton.

Mrs. Dewitt enjoyed camping and being with her family.

Survivors include her husband of Edgerton; three sons, Emery B. of Moorcroft, Everett of Midwest and Gary of Edgerton; her grandmother, Mrs. Lige Thaxton of Ten Sleep; stepfather, M. E. "Slim" Ward of Worland; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son Gregory in 1988 and her parents.

The service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Ten Sleep, with the Rev. Richard Rash officiating. Burial will be in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the Cancer Treatment Center and Hospice in Casper.
