Obituary
The funeral service for 57 year old Ivan Gene Anderson of columbus Junction, Iowa, was held on Saturday, September 16, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa, with Reverend Anne Lippencott officiating. Music was provided by Kathy Garris and Leon Rossiter.

Casket bearers included Ryan VanAuken, Ronnie VanAuken, Chuck Sojka, Warren Ball, Jack Pugh, and Dick Reynolds. Honorary casket bearers included Wes Norton, Jerry Williams, Ervin Mattson, Bob Meeker, Pete Bike, and Bud Speth. Visitation was held on Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home.

Gene died on Wednesday at work in Washington, Iowa, from an apparent heart attack. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.

Ivan Gene Anderson was born June 20, 1938, in Conception Missouri to Gotfried and Faye Bonar Anderson. He married Hazel Boysen, November 23, 1963 in Cairo, Iowa. Gene was a hogbuyer employed by Excel in Kalona. He served in the Army and then the Army Reserve.

Gene is survived by his wife, Hazel, Columbus Junction; two daughters, Mrs. Rob (Rhonda) Pritchard and their son, Kyle, Winfield, and Mrs. Scott (Brenda) Wade and their daughter, half-brother Paul Anderson, Orange, California and mother-in-law, Lorena Boysen, Morning Sun, Iowa.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Wayne, and a grandson, Trevor.
